Nancy Pelosi’s Taiwan visit has left China fuming, could invasion be on the cards?

China had threatened “serious consequences” if Pelosi landed in Taiwan, despite that the senior US politician met President Tsai Ing-wen in Taipei on August 3. The visit left China humiliated and angry. It has already taken some severe steps against the island and may take more overt action, even a full-blown invasion, in the near future.
